Why

The Dufourspitze (Dufour Peak) at 4,634 metres is the highest point in Switzerland, located in the Monte Rosa massif on the border with Italy. Switzerland shares this peak with Italy, but the Dufourspitze is the highest point on Swiss territory. It remains an important mountaineering objective in the Alps.
